Title: hermes tracking
Post by: raywilb on 09 April 2020, 14:56:37
i have been waiting for a delivery since march 24th. the retailer posted that he dispatched it & i should of received it by the 28th,  i know for a fact hermes have got a know contact policy at the mo but in the last week i have had deliveries, in fact i ordered a new petrol lawnmower that was due to be with me between sat 11th - tues 14th & it arrived 10am today. i have a theory re the missing goods - i ordered & paid via paypal. then the retailer bought a postal label  so got a tracking No but in reality he hasn,t got the item & is awaiting a stock delivery from china. i go onto hermes tracking at least twice a day & get " We are waiting for your parcel from the sender" also contacted the seller via paypal twice & been told be patient. anybody experience this.

If you bought it on ebay get them on it.  Once you have requested a refund, they have 48hrs to deliver or refund. If they don't, it gets refunded for them.  ;)

Well, if you were stupid enough to use ebay, then sympathy is in the dictionary (to quote Mr Lazydocker).

Hermes tracking is, like most things now, pretty fully automated.  So "waiting for parcel from sender" means that the parcel has not been dropped at Hermes local drop off point, or if they paid the 60p extra for collection, the courier has not yet collected it. So the seller still has it.

Being an ebay seller, I guarantee the excuse will eventually come that they had to go to hospital (yet they were able to book the Hermes label, just CBA to drop it off).

I saw no mention of eBay in the OP.

The last time I had anything delivered by Hermes I got an e-mail saying that they'd tried to deliver it but no-one was in.The thing with that was it was down as click and collect at the local Argos store where it duly turned up the following day!

Our Hermes lady used to be here every day, either delivering clothes for Mrs TB, or picking them up because Mrs TB didn't like them.

Fortunately, with all the online clothes retailers going tits up, or at last charging for deliveries, that dropped off (pre current hysteria), and Mrs TB does old fashioned shopping again.
