The Omega has aged well and still looks good! :y
-
I bought my first when I was 25 and I felt the same. I thought they were cool, good looking cars
But now I think they are fugly ;D
-
My old bus :'( Thank you, James :y
God, doesn't the time fly :o
-
IIRC, that changed hands for around £1200. That was a lot of rust free car for your money back then.
-
LPG filler looks a tad awkward to use.
-
I still remember having to cut all of that grass, and 50 metres of privet hedge. Don't miss that.
-
Yes, they still look damn good, as that one does James, although that was 14 years ago ;D ;D ;D 8) 8) 8) :y :y
My first Omega was in 1996 and now a staggering 24 years later (almost a quarter of a century!! :o :o :o) I am still driving one and love it as I did the first. I really hope I can keep mine going until I give up driving, but who knows! ::) ::) :P :D :D ;)

Here is my silver Omega, with assorted more expensive cars, looking quite as handsome. I took this shot returning from an Omega meeting (Towcester?) a few years ago. I called on an old school chum living in Marlow, could not find his place, explored the place next door by mistake. I regarded my Omega as quite as good as these flashy cars.

My mom bought her 03 Reg Omega 2.2CD in early 2004 when it was 9 months old. I used to love borrowing it and subsequently bought my 2001 Y Reg Omega 2.2cdx in January 2008. My mom kept her Omega until 2015 and I kept mine until 2016. Both were in "rare silver." They are still handsome looking cars today. Happy days!

I wholly disagree - I think they are an absolute cracking looking car :y

Agree James, they are starting to go up in price, I was offered £1500 and the price of a train ticket home for my white 3.0 at the VBOA show last year. I'm not in the market to sell any of them and can't see that changing anytime soon. ::)

What would you get for 1500 quid that comes close to a car like the Mig these days. :(
-
Well...
My Barge was £460... ::)

£1500 is only the deposit, Ronny. You know only too well what follows ;D

Does that mean for £1500 you could get one where all the bits work? ;)
-
Do ya feel lucky?
;D

;D
Considering every new car I've owned (from a sample of 2 allegedly reliable German marques - I know!) Has gone wrong, to a greater or lesser degree within the first 2000 miles, I rather think that 'unreliable' old barges might be my forte ;D
