In the history of motor sport, which of these iconic races was held first?
A) Le Man 24hrs
B) Monaco Grand Prix
C) Indy 500
D) Isle of Man TT.
Contestant didn't know and walked with £500,000.

You have just lost £436,000 ;D

Excellent, £64k works for me... ;D
-
I would have said Le Mans as well .

It's the TT.

TT, sans Google.
I thought motorcycle racing predated car racing generally, other than the Rallye type stuff that is, which was essentially an extension of gentlemans' grand touring.

That thought did cross my mind, but was sidetracked by the Mulsanne Straight and the old Bentley Blowers racing trains to Paris... Probably barely a decade twixt them though :-\

Turns out I'm not such a clever bastard after all as there's no way I'd have got the £500,000 question which was:-
First performed in 1804, Beethoven's 'Eroica Symphony' was originally dedicated to which historical figure?
A) Marie Antoinette
B) Napoleon Bonaparte
C) Louis XVIII of France
D) Voltaire
:-\

B ;D

It's the TT.
