If I'm connected to VPN, Inssider won't load.
If I load Inssider first, then connect to VPN it works.
Anyone else have the same problem?

Who cares, only use it outside of VPN.
(VPN clients add shite into the network stack, and buggers up loads of diag type tools)

Why use a VPN?

Why use a VPN?
So they can watch porn at work. And they think it stops Gchq/the chinqys,O and Russkis spying on them.

Trouble is, consumer grade VPN's and their providers are ummm piss poor.

What does a VPN give you (aside from a load of headaches, and even more security concerns)?

No, my question was what does a VPN give you. There are lots of downsides, but for Joe Public, very few upsides. In fact, I'm struggling to think of one apart from the ex-pats getting their dose of knobenders without contributing.

I used one when I lived in Vietnam decade ago as the internet was very limited there at that time and you needed a VPN to access any international news site or social media platform. I was never bothered by the authorities, bar my monthly check from the police to see that I was who I said I was, and I was living where I was living. ::)
Apart from that they obviously decided that I was no James Bond and left me alone. :)

Ah, capabilities have moved on since then. Firewalls have more bandwidth and DPI can reroute more packets ;D
