At one time I had about £50000 in premium bonds. I would win regularly but it was always £50.
So £600 a year. A return of 1.2%.
Pretty piss poor really.
Invest it in a classic car instead. :y
-
....or was it £20000?
Long time ago now. :-\

Yes......the smart money will invest in a Signum before prices start to rise. Expect to see the first £30000 Signum by 2021. :y

Buy a nice cruise.

my one Premium Bond was a christening present, 50 years ago. It has paid out over £500, although nothing for the last 25 years, which is a pretty good return on the £5 it cost. My sister has had nothing from hers.

Just remembered after reading your post.......I have a single premium bond from 1967 somewhere.....but where? :-\
Don't think you can buy single bonds in 2020.

I've had some for a million years, never won a penny.
Everyone I know with some win small amounts regularly, earning between 1.2 and 1.4%.
I never won a penny on the lotto either.
-
Had several wins on the Lottery best being around £14,000 a couple of years ago, two mates & myself spend £6.00 every Saturday on 3 lucky dips, started this in 2009 after I won a Ford Ka in a work raffle which I gave to my Daughter two colleagues said I was a lucky bas**rd so hence the lottery 😀
-
Had £10 worth since the mid 70s never won a penny.

Won 4 times on Premium Bonds, 5 times on National Lottery and 3 times on People’s Postcode, with numerous Lucky Dip tickets on the lotto.
Howerever biggest prize just £66 on Lotto, 3 wins of £50 on Premium Bonds and between £10 - £30 on the other, with a £10 Postcode win just last week. Those wins are over decades of being in it to will it ::) ::) :P
So nothing big, but they keep me playing with small stakes ;D ;D ;)

Invested in May this year and won in July draw. With average luck the algorithm suggests 1.4 per cent per annum

JPM US Small Cap Growth Fund C (net accumulation) is currently producing an annualised return of almost 23%...
Just saying ;)

Used to do the pools back in the 70s never won a single penny, I suppose that they still exist don't ever hear of people winning on them, the other thing was spot the ball usually cash & cars as prizes.
