Hi all
I am new to this but will try to explain my problem the best I can
Recently my car has been feeling rearly laboured On pull of and up hills and after some investigation I changed the mass air flow sensor and air filter while I was at it.
Car is much better now runs great and effort less which is great
But here is the thing on cold start up the engine is missing not for long tho 2 mins of driving it runs like a dream but thing is this didn’t do this before changing the mass air flow sensor
Any ideas chaps

Auto or manual? 2.2 16v?
Does/did the spanner light come on?
Pull the ignition module and check for oil and/or water in the plug wells?
-
Hi no spanner light anymore did have it come on frequently before changing mass air flow sensor
And plug wells all dry changed plugs a few days ago to :-\

Oh and sorry it’s auto ;D

My first thought would have been the cam sensor playing up. At least on the symptoms you started with and the fact it"s an auto.
But the loss of power under load seems to have been cured by replacing the MAF sensor.
Is cold idle any better if you unplug the MAF?

To be honest I haven’t tried unplugging it will it run okay unplugged I will give that a try in the morning see what happens, and report back,
What are your thoughts if it runs okay unplugged 🙂

That the new NAF is faulty.

Good morning
Okay unplugged the maf started up no missing at all, turned of restarted with it plugged back in missing strait off guess that the maf is faulty, question is I got this on amazon for £19.99 the make is YAOPEI was that a mistake,?,
What is best place to source one and any certain make?. :-\ :-\

Get a Bosch one from your local factors or a genuine one from a genuine Vauxhall dealer.
Call the £19.99 Stupid Tax and learn from it :y

Okay I will get right on to that will confirm that has solved the problem in due courses 😀
