Whay atf fluid people recomend .

I know it dex3 but what brand.. did fluid a while ago with some no male cheap fluid and never been same since so gonna re do it and want good fluid

that's the way to buy it.


The problem is that GM sold Omega transmissions as maintenance free, so a car with 125k miles could easily have its original fluid. What's left of it. Changing it can do more harm than good, as you are removing some of the friction materials, or breaking up deposits and spreading them around the unit. Traditional fluid changes are, just like in engines, intended to reduce such problems. Oil changes at appropriate intervals are far more economical than halving the life of a four-figure mechanical part.

The important thing is that it is GM Approved Dexron III. I used this stuff:-

I used shell Shell Spirax S2 ATF D2
High Performance ATF, Power.   

Namely because we had gallons of it at work, never had any issues,.
