Hi, where can I get torque recommendations for X30XE?
I need torque for inlet manifold and head rocker covers.

45nm rings a bell... do you have a Haynes manual? worth getting if not as it has all the torque settings (along with step by step procedures for most jobs not covered by the extensive guides here) :y

The cam cover bolts are 8Nm. They need to be even and not over tight or the cam cover seals will develop a leak. 8Nm is just nipped up beyond finger tight.
I think the inlet manifold upper section (plenum) bolts are also 8Nm but I'll probably be shot down. See if somebody else can confirm?
The flange to cylinder head and the lower section bolts are 20Nm.
You can get a used Haynes manual for about £5-£8 on ebay.

if you haven't undone the headbolts a 1/4" torque wrench will do. Although the only bolts that need to be torqued to 8Nm with a calibrated tool are the camcovers.
A 3/8" torque wrench will do everything else, although head bolts are hard work - I reassembled an XK engine from an E-type with one.
If we're being honest, most mechanics only use torque wrenches on head and bearing cap bolts, the rest are done by hand. An M8 bolt as on the inlet and exhaust manifolds wants about 30Nm(depending on grade) which takes little effort with a spanner. It's why assorted spanners of a particular size tend to be the same length.
And yes, I do know that most bolts tightened without a torque wrench are massively over tight!

Are you replacing the cam cover oil seals?
The four M8 x 45 bolts that clamp the intake manifold upper section (chamber) onto the intake bridge o-ring seals are 8Nm according to TIS and Haynes. I assume this is the item you want to get out of the way. The precise torque on these maybe doesn't matter too much so long as it's even, however too tight might damage the bridge. Or cause a leak of the bolts aren't evenly tight.
The M8 x 25 bolts underneath the chamber that hold the bridge and flange onto the head are 20Nm.

Not doing head work, a torque wrench from 2Nm-20Nm will do the job right?
Any brand advice? Something from ebay or amazon will do for me.

Victor Reinz will be fine, but you shouldn't need the inlet seals unless you are an animal removing everything.
If in doubt, get a top end seal kit :y
