Title: Newent jobs - volunteers for work!
Post by: Marks DTM Calib on 01 September 2008, 09:22:46
Right, we need to plan the following jobs:

ians - Press a set of wishbone bushes (does this include remove/re-fit wishbones?)
JohnArgraig - Tech 2 work
Mick Dundee - Exhaust manifold gasket
TMX - Tech 2 work + Serpentine belt (do you mean cambelt?)
Jay W - Tech 2 work + pinion oil seal.
JamesV6Cdx - Camber set (if we can find somewhere flat!)
LFF64 - V6 Cambet, water pump and spark plugs + Tech 2 work
Dave C - Camber set (if we can find somewhere flat!)
Entwood - Pimp my ride detailing demo
johnnycboy - Tech 2 work

So, who is up for a bit of grafting?

Not really up to doing any of those myself (not that anyone would trust me to work on their cars  ;D) except maybe gentle tech2ing  :-[

Will be nosing at everything though  ;D

may chuck some checkstrap washers in if anyone needs em!

Well I am hoping that the Captain and LooKnee might do Mick Dundees exhaust manifold so I can get the cambers set and the pinion seal done.

That then leaves Tech2 work and a cambelt or two.....

Have to see how we get on as far as time goes, should be able to fit it in if we get started in reasonable time.  :y

I can do bits, not sure about manifold gasket though!

Wouldn't mind watching the pinion seal being done though, if there is room for a spare head under there?

I'm guessing the Tech2 work won't take long, we can whizz around doing them once the 'dirty' work is finished?  Shouldn't take long, esp with at least 3 Tech2's onsite.

Long range forecast isn't great, some kind of large gazebo/marquee might be needed?  I may have a couple of tarpalines if we need to crawl under cars, to save getting too wet if it rains...

I'm intending to remove the wishbones from the cars this week (2 sets now.. :D) so just the bushes to deal with at Newent.

I'm happy to help on other jobs to the best of my ability.

Yes the birthday Gnome and myself will lend a hand.
He wants to learn about Tech2 so I'm sure he will want to help one of you with that.
He's currently outside playing with his laptop and our cheapo.
Edit:- Mother's just gone out it must be bedtime.
