I've removed my wheel arch liner and broken some of the clips.
They are a plastic expanding rivet kind of thing. various options available on ebay, need to check sizes.
How are they fitted- is there a special tool, can I replace them without it?
Graham.

They're retained with a central pin that expands the clip, which is why they're called push/drive or expansion rivets. You put the clip in place, and push the pin into the hole so that it's flush. You remove the clip by pushing the pin right through the hole. If you're lucky, you find the pin so you can reuse the clip. But they're cheap so that's not a huge problem.
Check this LINK (https://www.bresco.com/acatalog/Plastic-expansion-rivet--panel-thickness-4.0-7.0mm.--Hole-diameter7.9-8.5mm.--Head-diameter-16.0mm.-Vauxhall-range--Ford--Citroen-and-general-application.-DRR057P.html#SID=131)for a very useful supplier. You can get them from Vauxhall, but they won't be £0.30 each!

Hi Nick,
Thanks for that.
Like a lot of things, it's very easy when you know.
It looked to me like the central pin snapped off on fitment, a bit like a standard rivet. But nooo.

Indeed, a very common fitting, simple and effective. But if you've never come across one before, its not always obvious you need to drive the centre out.

TheBoy,
That's exactly right, particularly on the smaller sizes it looks like they are all one piece.

I don't recall if the Vx ones are the same, but the Saab expanding rivets have a special tool (a screwdriver with a pin on the top of the handle). It depresses the centre-pin just enough so the rivet can be removed..... the rivet can then be re-used time and time again.
