Do not be tempted to use a generic bolt as these bolts are a specific shape for the job :y

Thanks Al...appreciate advise 👍

The shoulder needs to be a precise fit in the groove in the balljoint. That's unlikely to happen with a standard M10(or whatever) bolt, so this is one instance I would be buying from a dealer. Just seen Al's post, £3 per bolt seems pretty reasonable to me.
Recovered far too many cars with self-ejected struts due to the wrong pinch-bolt being fitted.
I would have no qualms about using a decent quality generic locknut. M12 should be 1.75mm pitch, but a lot of car bolts are 1.5 for some reason.

Cheers for further clarity ,Nick,I will pass on the information and both ebay links for him to source...fate full case of starting a job without all the necessary parts required.
On another matter Nick...check your emails please :y

The supposidly better quality wishbones include the associated fitting bolts / nuts including the ball joint pinch bolt / nut, whereas cheaper and possibly more inferior makes don't.
