Little bastards...... >:(
Shredded foam and droppings everywhere. :-\
What is the best way to deter the little shits?
I've heard WD40 works if sprayed liberally.

They LOVE Mercedes wiring.
So, park near a Merc :y
A couple of Jack Russels on the loose is effective....
-
Mice or rats ?
-
A friend of mine had his 2018 Ford Ranger to have rodent protection put on some of his wiring last week , apparently this is becoming a very common problem in modern vehicles as soya is used in the coatings ,if you Google the problem several car companies are affected. Rodents love the taste of the stuff .
-
Clearly its down to lack of use.
You can drop it round mine and I will be glad to help you fix the issue. :y
-
I expect they thought "Oh look a Signum! No one is daft enough to drive one of those these days, that'll make a great winter residence as it won't be going anywhere!" :)
-
Put traps under bonnet with peanut butter in.. Also put them around as there's more mice... I've 12 traps at parents house, and they will soon be emptied on a daily basis, the Owls and Hawks love the free lunches, which get put on a table.. :y
-
More likely to go for the "Des Res" XF rather than slum council estate Signum :D
-
Mice or rats ?
Going by the size of the turds, I think mice.

They have chosen the Jag. :-\
The Signum is rodent free.

Trouble is that I will inevitably forget I have set the traps and drive off with them still under the bonnet, until they get wedged in the supercharger pulley (or similar) :-X

I've just had a look on the jag forum, and the advice is to take it to your nearest dealer. :y

Sounds like a great investment M'lud! :y

Just get a cat ;D

Just get a cat ;D
You shouldn't have this problem at all. Every car post 1992 requires a cat.
-
Just get a cat ;D
I believe M'lud has had enough trouble with pussy over the years ::)
-
Just get a cat ;D
But don't forget to remove it from under the bonnet before you drive off. Just in case it gets caught in the supercharger pulley...

To be fair, they'd probably run a hose over it if you booked it in for a free health check...

I once found a rabbit down the back of engine, although the car only needed a new battery.

Or get some spotty yoof to run a nice gritty rag over it. Once he's taken it out for a damn good thrashing at your expense complementary health check. ;)

Well it wouldn't be the first pussy that our Lord's supercharger has engaged with! :D
-
Must tell him something when even the mice have more taste than to go near a Signum ::)

You should have heard the sharp intakes of breath when I told them I'd fitted a shin breaker to mine.
Myself, not by taking it to a dealer and drinking coffee.
.. and that it was a Brink one, not genuine Jaguar. ;D

The horror! :o

not much different to here then; mention you don't buy oil from Vauxhall, and the GM Inquisition appears to the sound of a jangling chord and starts plumping up the cushions.....
-
To be fair, n ot so much now that Tradeclub has gone. When it was up and running buying GM oil and usually genuine parts was pretty much a no brainer.

^^^ This
If its cheaper, delivered to your door same/next day for free, and usually of better quality than more expensive factor parts, it makes a lot of sense to my simple brain.

Did they ask if Brink was a new polishing compound? ;D

Out of interest, have you joined the Jag owners club? The magazine they produce is called 'The Growler'.
