Title: Top gear

Very childish but it's a while since I laughed like that.  ;D

I like the new team and format.

Having someone on there who can really drive is good too.

I can't see anyone letting the grand tour lot loose in an F40 (for example) these days  ;D

Never mind F40's, what about Mr Nippy?  ;D
If you want to know who/what Mr Nippy is, you'll have to watch it, I'm afraid.

It's queued up for when Mrs 944 goes to bed.  :y

It's not considered joint viewing in our house.

Sorry, Jimmy, she's Mrs Viral nowadays  ;D

And don't stop watching till Mr Nippy's final challenge, even if it's only to drool over the raptor.

If I called her that I'd probably end up in hospital with my jaw wired shut  ;D

Well if your social life revolves around playing with hammers, what do you expect?  ;D

.

I enjoyed the new team first time round but it just seems to have got really silly this time, I'm more into Bangers & cash now just part of getting old 😄

I think the current trio work well together, and are making hay filling that niche that the Amazon trio aren't currently.

Plus, you have to take into account the last series was socially distanced. Hard to stitch things together properly.
Anyhow, Mr Nippy was great.  ;D

I would love to unleash a large can of expanding foam down the throat of that irritating moron McGuiness.
His inane screeching makes me want to drill out my own eardrums.
Apart from the occasional film segment, such as Colin McRae or more recently the one on Stirling Moss - its utter shite.
The best part of an hour on an ice cream van versus a burger van was really scraping the barrel imo.

Got to agree totally with you it's just gone totally downhill , the Stirling Moss episode was interesting to me because of my age and because my wife's uncle was one of his pit crew years ago.

How very dare you! Don't listen, Mr Nippy.  ;D

Is the grand tour still producing?

I watched all the episodes available back during lockdown 1.0

I got fed up halfway through series 2. It got 'samey' like TG did.

It finished recently. Clarkson was blubbing like a baby at the end of the last episode, presumably because thats it now for the three musketeers making that type of programme.
I watched a few of the first episodes and gave up on it. I found it to be bereft of originality like the last couple of series of Top Gear, they were involved in.
Same old show, but with a much bigger budget.

It's just three witless idiots shouting inanely at each other. Like you find in the pub at 18:00 on a Friday after they knocked off early.

Nope, its still going, only its now purely a single film of challenges/adventures.  Which were the episodes I preferred anyway, as it was in the Top Gear days.  Not really interested in Z class celebrities driving an Astra or F-Type, more interested in the 3 of them picking around like mates would, loosely connected to cars.  Its the same as what made the classical trio of Compo, Clegg and Foggy mildly amusing in Last of the Summer Wine.

And of the GT episodes, probably the most memorable one was where they went to Mongolia.

So the show has finished, but they are going to continue to do specials.  :y
Clarkson was also blubbing when the fella won the million  quid on WWTBAM. Seems he is going all soft and emotional in his middle age.  ::)

The one I really dislike on Top Gear is Chris Harris , his stupid giggling makes me want to choke him to death.

Why do you make comments without reading the posts fully ?
Do you also skip pages when reading a book ? 😄
