Title: Wanna see my puppy(s)??
Post by: hotel21 on 02 September 2008, 12:54:39
Collected her at the weekend, so busy doing the new pup/puddle thing as well as the squeely noisy short nights, but she still has bags of personality, even now.....

Not at her best, just woken up and not had the sleep out her eyes yet.

Apperantly, they do get bigger....

Lovely dog mate but.......

Jura!!!  ;D
I would love to see that, a big Scotsman walkin his dog, both looking like you wouldn't like to disagree with either, then the dog wanders off for a leak and the Burly Scotsman shouts, "Juraaaaa, come on !"  ;D ;D ;D
Bruce, Connor, Mel or Druss maybe suiting names :D

Lovely looking pup Broocie  :y

Carnt make up my mind if shes a black lab (2nd pic looks black) or a chocolate lab (1st pic)

And if you leave that remote where it is.....when puppy dog wakes up....it wont be a remote for long  ;D

Hope puppy catches on quick about where the toilet is  :y

She is actually a black lab, not a choco as we initially wanted.  Spoke to too many vet aquaintances who steered me away from them due to breeding/inbreeding to get the choco colour.

She is from highland estate gamekeeper stock, with lots and lots of Field trial Champions in both mum and dads side, so hopefull that she will be quite biddable and easily trained.

as to mess, only one dump indoors so far, all others outside.  A couple of mistaken puddles, but mainly outside and alls happy thus far...   :y

Ahh Black lab  :y Good choice

Holly approves  :y ;D

Choc labs seem to be very difficult to keep the weight off......ive never seen a slim choc lab.....always overweight.....

Mind you, Holly somehow got to 36kgs  ::)
Since change of food (no longer gets fattening Pedigree) shes slimmed down to 28kg  :y

Lovely puppy Broocie. Hope she soon settles down for the nights.
Have you tried the old trick of putting a clock in her basket?

We tried that whe we got ours. Didn't work and after a week we relented and let him in the bedroom for a couple of nights till he settled in.
He slept on the bed till we lost him aged 13.  ;D

Our lab is not allowed upstairs, locked in the kitchen overnight since we got her and few problems. She is getting on now and 'looks' as steps and thing before going up / down them.
She is called 'Turbo' because I told Kris we were going to buy a set of carb's for my mini, 7 years ago now.
We have a cat as well, the two get on soooo well. :) :) :)

She is getting used to a cage overnight but likes to know that we are about, so its the battle of wills thing at the moment.  Once she realises that we will be there again in the morning, all should be good.

At least, it worked with two kids who squawked and screamed for attention when they were babies, no reason to think otherwise at the moment.  She can still give it large, for as small as she is though....

The bedroom thing is simply not an option.  She will get used to the warm house or get better used to an outside kennel.....  Her choice, just does not realise it yet!   ;D

edit to add - its only the hound thats kept in a cage.  No children were harmed or caged in the making of this post.......   ;)
