He used the word 'coloured' when speaking of black players. Hanging is too good for this racist. Fortunately, the politically correct BBC warned me in advance there would be offensive racist language. I'm so glad they did, but I still had to lie down in a darkened room until the shock subsided.
Of course, Mr Clarke had to fall on his sword for being such a racist and is currently waiting for his P45.

While everyone leaps aboard the outrage bus, it is important to step back slightly and actually UNDERSTAND why what he said is so upsetting to many.
I accept is is extremely difficult to find a single word that describes those footballers (and any one for that matter) of other than "caucasian" heritage that does not offend someone .. but the use of the word "coloured" is certainly offensive to a great number ... why you might ask ??
It simply harks back to the days of legal segregation, mainly in the USA, but also in places like South Africa, where the whole basis of segregation was not based on "white/non white" - which would have been bad enough - but on "white/coloured" - where "coloured" = "non white" - and that is how things like buses, drinking fountains, shop queues, entrances to hotels, and a thousand other places/things were labelled ....
"Whites" were free to enter at will, "Coloured" were pointed away/banned/refused ... so the term "Coloured" came to mean "2nd class citizen" or worse, as it implied that "whites" were somehow "superior" beings... it is that element that makes the word so upsetting.
You may not like it, and may argue it is just a word to describe a "non-white", however the phrase "white" in itself is inaccurate .. we all have some sort of skin colour/tone so are all "coloured" to some extent, but we were never oppressed to the same degree, simply based on our skin tone.
Greg Clarke should simply have known better, and has rightly gone, it now matters that his replacement actually thinks before speaking.

Tolerance.
We are all told to be tolerant of others.......and rightly so.
We are tolerant of gays, lesbians, gender fluid, gender neutral, non-gender specifics. Generally (when left wing media) is not trying to incite a race war, the people of the world rub along together 'reasonably well'
However, one large section of society is not allowed the luxury of tolerance. Middle aged white men who struggle with the latest politically correct language, who must be made an example of. Much like Greg Clarke.

Already cancelled BT sport, as I said I would a few months ago, and SKY is going when my contract is up in March. Reminding me that we are all racist by kneeling before the god of wokeness before every game is bad enough, but when people are pilloried for used everyday phrases, which seem harmless enough to me, then I'm out of it. They can shove it up their arses, be they black, brown, white, yellow or green.

Segregation has not been around since the mid sixties. LBJ played a big part in making this happen. There are no racist laws in the USA now. Laws that stop black people from succeeding.
Many black people do achieve what they want from life in 2020. These are blacks blessed with a victor rather than victim mentality. Black high achievers don't tend to bang on about slavery, white privilege, and white oppression. I've not seen or heard the clip in question, but raises a point when referring to a person of non white origins. So now I can't say "ah, if you want to know about that, go speak to that coloured/black/asian/chinese/japanese/whatever over there"
If we cannot use skin colour to help describe a person, surely such terms as IC3 Male is equally unacceptable?
