Title: Poor air flow to the windshield
Post by: Opelduude on 28 November 2020, 18:26:11
Every Omega i have owned had this problem with poor air flow onto the windshield.
With the fan on full blast there is just a tiny breeze coming out on the top.

Currently minus 8 degrees here now and i had to let the car idle for 30 minutes before half the window is cleared.
Is there anything easy to check for here?

Does your heater produce lots of HOT air within a couple of minutes of driving? If not a new engine thermostat and heater matrix would be sensible.

First reset the climate control panel. Then check all servos are clicking, then do as nickw says, new thermostat and heater matrix, There's guides for all 3 jobs.

There is no problem with the heat. The car has normal operating temperature.
The heater matirx and thermostat are replaced 2 years ago.

How do you reset it?

It's in the manual and there's a Maintenance Guide for it :y
