Used to be a ferry to there from Scrabster once a week, now you have to go to Denmark first... You can also go on to Iceland and potentially Greenland. Just a pity there isn't a ferry ftom there to St John's... ;)

I weny down one of those once on a school trip. It was very interesting but didnt quite have the wow factor the one in your link does. :)

When I was at school 'careers officers' were still talking about seizing the 'opportunity' of a career in coal mining.

The same as get a job in the shipyards , heavy engineering , the steelworks , the GPO , Woolworths, any big named Bank , Job for life with good prospects they said :(

Hmmm.....I think they got that one wrong.
We all got told to join the Navy, Marines, Army or RAF, pretty much in that order, but to be fair with no big industry or business round here it probably wasn't bad advise. ::)
Needless to say I didn't take any notice! ;D

I seemed to spend most of my time at school being slippered, caned, or finally expelled.
They didn't ask me to be a prefect. :-X
