Title: Where does this vac pipe goto
Post by: addy on 09 December 2020, 17:24:14
Would anyone have any idea, where this vac pipe in red circle goes to?  Changed HBV other day and just as I was finishing the heavens opened. Anyway put everything back together, started car up and got a missfire on No.2 at roughly 2500 revs and EML light(not spanner) on.  So today I was removing coil pack, passenger side to check if water hasn't got in and found this pipe.  Not long had Timing belt done, have had no problems with car, until rain got into engine bay, so hopefully missfire is from water getting into the plug well. It is a 2002 2.6 Petrol only Vauxhall Omega.

The pipe seems to come from under the front of the plenum.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Is it the throttle body vac pipe.

Looks like the one that plugs into the underneath of the front of the plenum.

Plugs into the fuel pressure regulator iirc :y

And it's about 0.00005 mm longer than it needs to be, so is pretty much guaranteed to fall off if you look at it...
