Hmmm......I could almost have predicted this.

We have no right NOT to be offended. What may be offensive to one may not be offensive to another.

As for 'hate speech' who decides? Who plays at being God?

I presume that the wife in question was not of an age that we would deem acceptable these days to be married?  ???  ::)

From 1858, in England,  it was legal for girls  to marry at 12 and boys at 14.

Bear in mind a poverty stricken and underfed 12 year old girl in Victorian England would probably have looked much like an 8 or 9 year old today.

The parents probably had a dozen other kids, and needed the money so......... :-X :-\
