Having said that, our deaths per million is slightly higher. The developed world, eh?

Fookin ell.

Covid figures are exaggerated in the UK as they apply to anyone snuffing it within 28 days of a positive test.

Apparently, following a positive test, people are only allowed to die of covid for the next 28 days. No other form of demise is allowed. :)

Still only 0.1% mortality rate overall  :-X

Which is 0.03% better than ours...

Apparently our SuperBatflu has caused California to enter an 'indefinite lockdown'

I hear that many people from California are moving to Texas.

Better fire arm laws, no State income tax, actual weather, the Governor isn't a complete retard...

What’s not to like?

Basically you'd need to be a complete imbecile to move to California from Texas ;D

No, it isn't. Theirs is  1057 per million, ours is 1066, a difference of 9 per million. 0.0085%, if my calculator maths, and methodology,  is correct.  ;D

I guessed the numbers at 337,000 deaths from 337,000,000 population vs 90,000 from 68,000,000 for us.

Either way, it is not a significant number.

The good people of America will be overjoyed to see the citizens of Wuhan out in force to celebrate the new year.

Yep, and to put it into perspective, American Military Deaths were
                                                           American Civil War    620,000
                                                                          WW2        407,000
                                                                   Vietnam War      58,000

Then military and civilian deaths due to Spanish Flu     675,000

and all that in the context of a smaller total population.

However, for individuals affected the losses are still enormous in terms of emotional costs. :'( :'( :'(

................I would also add that total deaths in the USA in 2018, a typical year, from all causes was  2,839,205 ;)

Like us, the Yanks have a high test rate compared to most countries, so the more you test the more cases you find.  ;)

Yes and a very sensible suggestion it was too, as then you can allow people to die of other things, which in turn brings the death rate down.  :y

Whist i appreciate that it's a worldwide set standard for calculating covid 19 deaths ,it's a crap way of accurately showing what is really going on  :(

die within 28 days of a positive test and it's considered a covid death

so get run over by a bus as you walk out the test center counts

yet it takes maybe 14 days to get ill ,then you could be ill for weeks after, then die of blood clots in the lungs ,caused by covid ,or heart problems, liver etc etc weeks later ,covid caused the damage that kills you not it's not counted as covid deaths  >:(

millions will suffer from long covid, 1 in 5 apparently which will be a massive drain on resources over time (20% of the tax paying workforce go on sickness benefits  ) to add to the current and ongoing sh!t-storm that is China Virus Covid 19

Is that true though?  ???

I read that Germany are only counting people who have actually died of Covid-19.  :-\

Germany may be different
they don't count people who die in the shower for example  :-X
