Title: More covid weirdness
Post by: STEMO on 26 January 2021, 18:12:37
Wifey told me on Sunday night that everything smelled weird. Oh no, here we go again, last time her sense of smell disappeared altogether, but this time things just smelt horrible and different. She booked a covid test for 8 o'clock Monday morning and stayed well away from me. Her test came back negative at around 9 o'clock this morning so, overjoyed, she jumped up and went to work.
Now she tells me her sense of smell is really acute. At school she was commenting on other teachers perfume, her coffee smelt really coffeeish and even the school dinner smelt 'wonderful' (her words). So it looks like on Sunday night she was going through a transition where her sense of smell was returning to normal three months after covid. She was smelling things she hadn't been able to for ages. Good, but weird.

That's good news , have heard that some senses may never return to normal,  it's awful how some people seem to be so severely affected after recovering from the virus, best wishes to your better half Steve.

She gets a bath after Emmerdale and I've just been up to the bathroom. She'll smell that as soon as her foot hits the bottom stair, covid or no covid.

Hope she is soon back to 100% health. The poor woman obviously has enough to put up with in life.  :)

The school my wife works at (now run by an Academy) carry out a Covid test every Monday morning on all staff, and have done for a few months now. They have the result in about half an hour.  :y

Politics. If you didn't know, then you'd think your wife was perfectly safe after all the staff had been tested.  :-X

That's a really misleading way to present that vid, him one side of the screen and a firkin great NHS sign the other. Trying to make folk think his views are endorsed.

Don't be silly. If you made a vid talking about football, and you had a split screen with the England logo and Gareth Southgate on the other one, the inference would be obvious. And you know that, but you're just an argumentative bastard  ;D
