i'd like to see them in the dry - reckon the Carlton would be closer still :y

Also have to bear in mind that the Lotus Carlton featured is down on boost since Tiff Needel broke it driving like a ****, It's owned by Vauxhall Heritage.
Even if it had been on top form do you think VX would let a 17yo car beat their latest offering in front of the press???? ::)

Really? didnt know that....this needs further study then :) - maybe i'll run a test on Forza2 round the 'Ring (i think its got a Monaro tho - not the VXR - but should be similar - definitely got a Lotus Carlton tho - as its all I use in B class) :y

I am reliably informed that it was on full chat again!
In the dry, the Monaro would be further ahead due to its superior handling, in that wet setup you would expect cars of similar power to produce similar times because your struggling to really find the grip.
Also consider that a bit of work on the currently un-blown Moanroi and you cna get a real fire breathing monster!

With a bit of electronic tweakery I think the lotus carlton can give the thick end of 500BHP. Not bad for a car now nearly 20 years old.
Lotus carlton is iconic.
VXR8 never will be. Both great cars though. :y

It needs a bit more than that to work well!
The engine is already pretty high compression for a turbo unit so you would be closing in on funny fuel territory!
