Title: Newent Fully Booked
Post by: Darth Loo-knee on 04 September 2008, 13:04:44
I have had a couple of late comers who have PM'd me so I have been on the phone trying to sort something out for them.
The owner is really a nice woman and been able to move things around to manage to get them on but there is no more room..
So if you are wanting a pitch now sorry  :-[

You guys are sadists!  We'd really love to go, but not up for recreating scenes from the bible.  ::)

We're still open to swinging down for the afternoon and early evening, depends on the weather.  Defo NOT camping!  :P

Where's your pioneer spirit?
The west would never have been won if they had bothered about a bit of rain.

I'd plan on a long drive.  I heard that the entire M5 was 40mph today with flood warnings on the signs, and there is supposed to be heavier rains tomorrow (50cm by us).

Don't go near the M5 (except to cross over it !!)   :)

A417 to Gloucester, bit of A40, then the B4215  :)

Head south on the M6, get off at the M5, and then at Strensham Services join the M50, follow it until you come to a sign for newent, follow B4215 into newent and at the trafflc lights go left.

Then turn right at fire station, and you are nearly there...

Thanks for that .. would you suggest missing the B4215 and going down to Huntley and then up the B4216 ??  Autoroute says its only 3 miles extra ??

I can't seem to find out where the roadworks you mention are ....

edit .. this what you mean ??  Item C  ?

Chester, A49 through Shrewsbury, Leominster, Hereford then Newent you can avoid the whole of the motorway network, I use this route in reverse (not driving in reverse, reverse route) on friday afternoons going from Hereford to Glasgow :y

Thing is you won't get out to huntley without going through the roadworks

I would be tempted to turn right at the Over roundabout, go through hartpury, and along the M50 for a junction...
