Title: Air con compressor slight play

Hi

Just noticed the air con compressor has a slight "clunk" when I rock the pulley top to bottom, you can't see any movement more just feel it. Is that the beginning of the end or is it something easy to fix, or leave alone?

On the Omega, a little bit of play on the clutch could be considered normal wear.

Does it work?

Yes, It was low in charge and I topped it up, it seemed to give cold air after that, no noises or anything from compressor, but I thought it wasn't as cold as it could be, that's when I noticed a lot of the condenser fins were missing, but other than that it did seem not too bad.

Perhaps it needs an actual regas on an actual aircon machine instead of a can from Helfrods ???

Which incidentally is cheaper than said can... £54 at a local indy garage rather than £60 or so for the can ::)

Going to get a proper check and charge including leak check this time.
