I have of course built up some LPG experience...

with the fuel at what it is, in your view is it worth looking down the lpg route for a 2.5 v6 2000 manual? by doing it with the aid of an oof pit crew it may be a little cheaper? :-/

No doubt at all .. DO IT ... in simple terms .. my fuel costs have dropped from 25.2 p / mile on petrol to 14.9 p /mile .. a straight saving of 10.3 p every mile travelled .. or 40% of my fuel costs !!!
My conversion was expensive .. £2200 but I had my reasons for having the whole thing done for me. OOF members who DIY are doing it for less than £900 ....
The performance is absolutely no difference on gas or petrol. The figures above are for the 3.2 V6 .. 2.5 will be slightly different

I might bring my soldering iron and my packets from RS

i may be looking in that direction then................ ;)

I'm only putting around £80 a week in the 3.0 on petrol, seems like bliss after running a v8 discovery ;D
-
general mechanical work, like James some LPG experience.....
cleaning is another therapeutic hobby i have

I'll actually do anything. I suppose that comes from my previous experience of earning my living working on cars!!
Also happy to do a bit of LPG work to assist someone but wont just do an installation for someone :y :y :y

Tony, if you're planning to keep the car for more than about 10k miles you'll be in profit :y :y :y The job isn't particularly hard to do, as long as you're patient and methodical.

ANything mechanical and electrical......or plumbing, brick laying, ground work, decorating, tiling etc.....can turn my hand to most practical jobs!
-
Washing, polishing, cleaning the scratches and teaching the paint job to painters ;D (for cars)
Other stuff: pc stuff , wood based jobs, home repairs (not Tvs and similiar)
this looked like a resume ;D

I'm sort of similar, but have a confidence problem with jobs I have never done before, and real confidence issues with jobs I have attempted and got stuck with.
Its immensely satisfying though, when it goes to plan.
