Just enjoying a lovely Thunder & Lightning storm.

Not seen Lightning this intence sine the 80's

Young lad died after being struck by lightning in Lancashire tonight.

we still never get thunderstorms like we used to in the 1970's . i remember the air had an electrical smell to it and everything seemed to go a kind of dark/greeny ? colour.
miss those. plus we dont get fog nowadays either. not thick fog anyway .

We don't get fog because we don't all have chimneys belching smoke. Everything used to go on the fire when I was a lad, that's why fly tipping wasn't so prevalent. An old wardrobe would keep you warm for a week.  ;D

Last week we had a couple of strange days. I've been working outside (putting up fencing) and got a suntan and pelted with hailstones on the same day, two days on the trot.
