My understanding is that all data will be anonymous.

But this is the NHS so somebody will probably leave all your medical records, complete with your name and address in a taxi/bus/train/plane following a night on the piss.

I've already shared my data, and samples of tissue, blood and poop with several clinical studies, so not bothered.  :)

You never know, your data might make a difference!  :y

I only learnt about it as its been all over the IT press for the past month or so. Apparently the NHS have put it in small letters on their website.

It would appear that the not-really-anonymus data can be deanonymalised, despite what the NHS claim.  Its the usual civil service incompetence thing.

In other news, Dildo is going for head of the NHS, after making a huge mess of Talktalk and then NHS Track and Trace.  I might go private ;D

Didn't you share your semen with the nurse?  ;D

I only have minimal NHS records, based on the fact I don't really use the NHS.  But choice mainly, though being a full time working tax payer, I'm not really allowed to anyway.

The point is that the government make laws that companies must allow customers to opt out, then don't think it applies to their own departments....

Last time I spent an agreeable hour with a nice young blonde nurse of Polish origin.  :y

Unfortunately the exchange of bodily fluids was one way and rather clinical!  :(  ;D

I sat and read Barclays privacy policy one night, all of it (I know), and there are more workarounds than words in it. It might as well just say 'Your personal information will reach every corner of the globe, one way or another'.

I will be opting out. It isnt going to be anonymous, and even if it was, I dont trust Governments on stuff like this.
I read today that they are now going to delay it by a couple of months, hoping the online fuss will die down, but that changes nothing for me.
Personally, I reckon its probably the thin end of the wedge to allow them to make a lot of money from selling individuals health info.
The amount of data they have must be worth £ squillions.

Don't worry about it, I already have access to all of your NHS records and, quite frankly, some of you are very dirty boys :o  !!!

My son works for the NHS , he was saying that your data could be sold to private companies enabling them to target individuals with lucrative health issues

Went on to the site to see how it was done and, as it was a matter of a few steps, did it. More to see if it actually makes any difference than anything.
