Title: Sainsburys carpark
Post by: TheBoy on 24 July 2021, 15:56:19
I was sat in the car at Saino's earlier, which she popped in to pick up some stuff she forgot/failed to get at Tesco yesterday.

So in the 10-20 mins I was sat there for, I saw....

A Merc convertible "park" with his nose stinking out about 7", causing obvious chaos.
An Astra estate reverse out of their spot, using a spare space opposite to reverse into, without seeing some lazy idiot had left a trolley there.
A Golf reverse out of a space, straight into some silly tart walking immediately behind.

It seems that everyone has forgotten how to safely operate a car.

I should point out that I was sat in the car due to a poorly hoof, and not because I've been banned from there yet.  Its only been open a few months ;D

Was the Astra estate driven by an old man with a whippet?

Some of the worst parking & driving is always available to view at supermarket car parks, don't know why but a lot of drivers just seem to lose the plot completely.

Have you put the sigmund into WBAC's website yet? The £200 might come in handy.

I don't understand why people drive into a space  :-\
it's much easier to reverse into a space  :)
because you don't need to worry about your "nose length"(corners of the front bumper) so to speak .
then, driving out you can see everything going on

*assuming there are no buckets of tools behind the car when reversing  :D
though my BACS (bucket avoidance camera system) has solved that issue  :-[  :-X ;D

It's not so easy to get the trolly or pram to the back of the car though when it's reversed in  ;)

Front in and damage the splitter, reverse in and the rear clears the kerb.

Is it the USA where you are expected to front in so cop cruisers can see the number plate? Maybe that is a myth. I do remember everyone fronted in and that the spaces in UK supermarket car parks  are tiny.

Only if there is a kerb, none in the Asda I go to.

I stopped being the worlds policeman last year when i had a go at a guy on a pedestrian crossing, (i was walking) and he took umbrage and came looking for me screaming and shouting. Thought i'd evaded him, then he came steaming round the corner. God, he was mad as hell.  ;D After a bit of pushing and shoving and me asking if he was proud that he was manhandling someone who was about 50 years older than he was. It eventually calmed down and we then had a reasonable conversation. Since then i think, sod it, let the idiots get on with it.

Very wise, Ronny, people get stabbed for that kind of thing now.

I know someone who saw neighbours walking their dog down the road on newly laid tarmac in the hot sun last week.

She went out and pointed out that the dog might burn it's paws on the tarmac, and got a load of abuse for her troubles. Sounds like it all got a bit hectic and the police got involved, with the dog owner possibly getting charged with assault.  ::)

my sister & her best friend both passed their tests on the same day & not long afterwards i heard a conversation between them both regards whose car  were going to use as both admitted they weren,t competent at reversing. i also had a sister inlaw that would ask people to reverse park her car for her.
