Title: Sticky hazard button
Post by: Migalot on 04 August 2021, 20:55:09
I guess we all have this problem with the hazard button. After a few years, the rubberised coating starts to become tacky to the touch and attracts dust and dirt.

This is a problem with many cars (I understand even Ferraris have this rubber coating on some switches).

Does anyone know a way of getting rid of the stickiness?  ???

Car plan tar spot remover followed by Ambersil foaming upholstery cleaner.  ;)

Well, I've got rid of the stickiness, but the triangle motif is half-gone now.  :(

I was wondering if the Vectra C/Signum switch is the same as I might buy this:

Pull the switch. There should be a GM part number and/or Opel KAT code on it somewhere. Either embossed on the plastic housing or perhaps a paper label.

How hard did you scrub it :o

Vectra one won't work, it might look like it's the same shape, but the switch it goes into is completely different ;)
