Hi all, so I’ve been on this forum before many years ago. I’ve just recently returned to Omega ownership having just picked up a car that some of you on here will be familiar with formerly owned by @Entwood (apologies I haven’t worked out how to tag other members).
So here she is, a 2001 Elite 3.2 on LPG

She’s now in Northern Ireland and I hope to try and keep her on the road as long as I can.

Nice one! :y
Full spec as I can see?
That ugly LPG filler cap could been done better ;)

Welcome back to OOF :y This place a bit like Hotel California isn't it? ;D
-
I think I remember you from your previous membership Blackie.
The car has been well known on the forum for many years, and from what I know was well looked after regardless off cost, so its pretty certain youve bought a good one.
Whereabouts in Norn Irn are you from ? I originate from there myself a long time ago.

I spent my Primary school years near there. I lived in the haven of peace & tranquility known as Rathcoole. ;D

That drive up the coast on the A2 looks amazing. Mountains one side, sea the other.
-
Its starts at the A2 and then carries on up the coast road all the way to Portrush. Its a stunning part of the country.
My summer holidays consisted of being driven around and exploring that area. Loved every minute of it. :y
Although I dont really visit any more, I intend to go back and do that drive one last time before I pop my clogs. 8)

At school, we were taught about the battles that took place in England during the English civil war and against the Scots and all the usual stuff, but nothing (apart from the potato famine, of course) about Ireland.
I noticed on that route a place called Bloody Bridge and started reading about how it got it's name, through the massacre of prisoners during the rebellion in 1641. Beautiful place with a dark history.

That describes Ireland/Northern Ireland fairly well! The coast road (A2) and the Mourne Mountains are about some of the best roads in the UK, although I’d be slightly biased! Lol

It was definitely tongue in cheek. :D
To be fait though, it wasnt that bad when we lived there, and believe it or not we had Catholic neighbours either side of us who got on fine with.
We left in 70/ 71 and moved to Ballybeen, Dundonald, which was a nice new estate at the time.
It didnt take too long for that to go downhill as well though. ::)

People move, not the areas...
Unfortunately they take all their baggage with them. To misquote Mr Steinman, you can run away forever but you'll never run away from you... :D
Anyhoo, that car looked better on the original Elite alloys, although it would look better still on a set of staggered Sportsstars 8)

Yea once I’ve the mechanical stuff all up to scratch and a new MOT on the car then I think I’m gonna look out for a set of Elite alloys for her.
