Quick question....would anyone know whether rebuild parts are still available for the 3.0 Omega? either standard diff or lsd. :)

Last one I had rebuilt was done here:-

Seem to recall he said some of the bearing sets were getting hard to source and this was a few years ago now.

Oooer! :o

Man in N.I, says he does them all the time.....logistics may be problematic :-\

I had 2 diffs rebuilt a couple of years ago, but the trouble is, unless you stand over someone you never know what they've done inside. They told me that parts could be problem but until they pull it apart they didn't know what parts might be needed, by which time, you are committed to an extent. Having spoken to several people about the correct procedures and specialist tools required to do it properly, I am amazed it doesn't cost more. Unless all they do, is clean it up, use fresh rtv on the gasket faces, and leave a few banana skins inside... :y

I believe at least one of the bearing sets is hard to get now.

Unless the designers used a custom bearing. That is normally frowned upon unless you have a very good reason. Being German is not a good reason, but it doesn't stop them.
