Title: 3.2 on LPG/dual fuel, what spark plugs?
Post by: BlackieNo1 on 17 August 2021, 17:43:02
Apologies if I have somehow missed an obvious answer to this. I did try searching but got no “hits” as it were.

So I’ve recently purchased a 3.2 Elite on dual Fuel/lpg and me being me I want to service the car ASAP. Having read a little about lpg I see that it runs hotter than petrol so I’m wondering if standard spark plugs are ok or do I need to run different spark plugs?

Having had a quick flick through the history of the car I see that it had the install done around 2008 and a few times after install it has had standard Vx plugs fitted. But my wee brain is going overtime and I’m wanting to avoid issues so I’m hoping for confirmation from any experienced Mig lpg’ers in here.

Bog standard twin electrode ones are ideal.  The factory fit quad electrode also work well enough, but aren't worth the extra, and do shield the flame front a bit more.

No need for anything more exotic on an Omega with LPG.  Both my 3.0 and 3.2 Omegas ran well on LPGG with GM twins.

Entwood didn't mess around with servicing. Fit what he fitted and it will be fine  :y
