over 19 years old and over 190,000 miles. Two advisories, so cant complain.
Slight wear to steering idler. Got a new genuine one in the shed Ive been meaning to fit for at least two years.
Corrosion on inner face of front discs. Standard Omega issue, but disappointing. I fitted a new pair just before last years MOT, approx. 3000 miles ago.
MOT man said lack of mileage is the problem. Standing around doing nothing is when the corrosion gets into them, which makes sense.
Overall, well pleased though.
Particularly as it may get pressed into daily service soon as little Pierre is dying again. ::)

If petrol was half the price, or the Omega did twice as many mpg, Eeeyore ownership would never have happened. ;)

That's OK in theory BUT ..
how much money and time are you spending repeatedly fixing CL-Eeyore
it must be adding up to several tanks of Omega GOGO juice ;D

This is the quandary I now find myself in. ::) :)
Realistically I should get rid of both and buy another petrol car that does around 40mpg.
Cant bear to part with the Omega though.

I know it does 483.78mpg, but that sounds expensive for a CL it. :D

Stemo only wants the CL-Eeyore so he can drain the diesel for his Astra and burn the plastics, tyres and shell rather than pay for the ££ GAS ££ to heat his home ;D

Great news on the pass.
My old Silver Bullet used to have new front discs every 18 months or so. But because I'd wrecked them ;D. In my defence, I did work in MK at the time.

Mine are the opposite. They havent been wrecked, just not really used. I would feel better if I had wrecked them tbh.
At least I would have had some enjoyment from the money I wasted. ::) ;D

I owned my Omega for about 90 000 miles & replaced just the front discs (for OE) once ::)

I kept telling you Andy B, you need to try harder ;D.
Though every time I saw your car, it had a pikey wagon on the back. I imagine that hampers performance ;D

At one point, it was new discs every other set of pads, so about 12k. I managed to eek them out to every 3 sets of pads, so about 18k

I put new front discs and pads on mine 50,000 miles after I bought it, although the previous owner had done them not long before he sold it. If I hadn't been in France when the pad wear light came on, it probably wouldn't have needed the discs....
