Where is the aerial on the saloon (2003)
Cant get local stations (Radio Hallam) often I have to retune and on occasions it retunes itself.
Today combined with a dash issue it went and constantly tried to retune itself.
Just wondered if it was an aerial issue, a bad connection(s)(another issue is weak sounf from drivers door)
Also wondered if I could justify a new headunit rather than chasing these issues. ::)

built into the heated rear screen ... there's an amp somewhere around there too

is there an amp on the 2.2 CD?

For the radio aerial? Yes. C pillar next to the parcel shelf iirv

Aerial amp on a saloon is in the centre of the metal parcel shelf. You need to remove the parcel shelf trim to get to it.

It will be there then :y

Could the amp be the cause of the bad and random reception/retuning issues?
-
They can fail.
Water in any of the connections won't help either... These are back of the radio, driver's kick panel and the amp
Is this the same car with the speedo/rev counter gremlins?
In which case I would start there as the radio is potentially a symptom rather than a cause ;)

Must admit the windscreen gets a lot of condensation, Went out to the car yester armed with the Karcher window vac ::)

Find the source, fix it and probably all the gremlins :y

You've got a leak then! Like most Omega's now you'll probably find the bulkhead is rotting through, especially if the car hasn't had much use for a while.

repeated dead batteries from lack of use also won't help
the modules will be full of low voltage fault codes :-X
if you own a dehumidifier then stick that in the car for a day or so , to dry it out :y
