My Omega passed again the MOT. :y
Just one advisory about rust on the floor pans. Will be underneath when it is warmer wire brushing them and treated with the magic anti-rust spray! :D

I see at least 1 every day :P

Thanks all :y :y
According to the tester it is light rust near to the steering box. I will know more once I get underneath the car again to assess what I will have to do. ;)

that will be the inner face of the chassis leg surely
not a floor pan (which are completely sealed at the factory)

Well done.

I wouldn't be so sure... Could be where the inboard flange of the rail is spot welded to the floor pan. Heat sheilds and Bank 1 precat will partly obscure the area both for full inspection and repair.

Thanks :y
Until I get under the car when the weather is warmer I will not be absolutely sure what is needed. ;)
At least it is not urgent - yet! ::)

Pass is always good and another worry to put to bed.
Mine had a small rust patch on the inner wheel arch by the steering box. What looked like a small area turned into a much larger job and required NickW to spend 2 days cutting/shaping and welding patches in place. We were worried the steering box mounts were rusted too but managed to repair albeit a temporary fix..2 years later and each MOT passed so all good but dont ignore rust in the inner wing/steering box area and keep fingers crossed is not too far gone...just saying

You'll need to jack the car up very high. :D
