Just imagine as EV's get older and maybe after some repairs I just wonder how they will deal with all this bad weather and flooding etc will the cars just fizzle and spark in the water or will they turn into proper electrical shows. ::)

I was at a motorway services on Saturday and walked passed a very pissed off woman on the phone who was saying " When I left I had 100%. I've done just over 100 miles and have had to pull in.... " ???
I dunno what kind of car she had, but I assumed she had an EV and was disappointed that she didn't get very far on her charged battery. :-\ ::)
Maybe she was driving into the wind? :D
-
Even the Alabama Mumsybus gets 400 miles from a single charge :D
-
I've not had to charge the Omega once since i fitted the Bosch S5 battery in August :P
it does drink lots of super unleaded GOGO juice though :-X

TB seems to charge his cars regularly. :-\ :)

Lights on, wipers on, heaters on, wireless on, maybe seat heaters on. All needs to come from the batteries.
Our lot with new Teslas a few years ago were getting about 120 miles between charges, when not engaging lunatic mode.

If the car isn't getting used, I try to charge it every 2 weeks. Which they aren't really seeing much use over the past couple of years.
We all know deeply discharging a battery shags it, or having it in a semi discharged state for a period of time shags it.

A Tesla (3?) pulled away from me at the lights the other day in 'lunatic mode' .... I've never ever seen anything accelerate as fast :o :o :o

No noise though , how awful..😄

Been through flood water in the iPace, no issues. :y
Might be different on the newer 800V platforms that are appearing though.
We currently see about 200 miles from a charge (colder so the 7kW heater is on more at start up).

I would like an EV for a commute car, but I cant find anyone willing to swap one for a broken French contraption. ::)
-
Not even a Zoe... :D
-
Nope. Not sure I would want a French EV anyway. It sounds like the stuff of nightmares. :o ;D

No.. More Volts and more Amps won't make it any worse at all.. ;D

You could have a Zoe. Crap wiring and no NCAP stars. ;D

Couldnt give a toss about NCAP tbh. It would be nice to drive to work, plug it into one of the chargers, then drive home in the morning, all foc.
