Sorry Alan .... not a clue! ???

I'm only maintenance ..... I know they make 20 million cans (8oz & 16oz) on site each week! When you say single serving, do you mean the little 5oz cans?

And last Friday there wasn't a single bean on site .... apparently bad weather last week saw deliveries go to European mainland somewhere & we were beanless  ;D

Wot!!  No baked beans.  Glad I have 6/8 tins in the house most of the time.  Just so I dont worry about supermarket panic buying.

I see. You panic buy before anyone else panic buys.

Not at all, its just the way I have my cupboards stocked, each shelve is 3 tins deep
shelves are set 2 tins high so each line is 3 tins

So in the bean secton. 3 x Heinz with 3 x cross n blackwell

Been doing that for 20 years or more. so topping up rather than panic buying.

I was wondering about the notion of panic buying a pallet or two and delivering them to thems that need. Obviously 3,000 tins of bins won't go very far, so it might be a hollow gesture :-\

I'm sure Mr Beanz will agree  that Lidl beanz at 96p for 4 cans are far superior to to Heinz mush. :)

I remember the days of the bean war prices when all the supermarkets were undercutting each other to the point I think beans could be bought for as little as .02p a 400g tin.

Theres probably people out the that still have some tucked away. :-\
