.......and his vertically challenged chancellor will have to resign? Bad timing with Ukraine, but the hounds are baying.
-
Should they ? Yes.
Will they, almost certainly not.
Ukraine has saved the fat Oaf,s bacon. He is a very lucky politiciaN.
-
We hired him to do Brexit and, just like the people he hired to do covid, he should be made redundant now.
-
I completely agree. Cant think of who to replace him with though. No obviously talented people in Parliament at the moment who spring to mind. ::)

I agree (we'll have to stop this ;D) but I think someone with an equally big personality might be the wrong choice right now. The conservative majority is large enough to get policies through the house whoever is in charge, as long as the sulks who don't get their leader of choice don't upset the applecart.
As for who fights the next election......... :-\
-
Also, we need someone without a chequered history or a propensity to shag everything that moves. Labour and the SNP have spent the last couple of years trying to rip the Tories apart more because of Boris, rather than their policies. And, let's face it, he gave them plenty of ammunition.

How did that work out for the leftie twaats over the pond?
As Baz Luhrmann once wrote, "Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will
philander, you too will get old, and when you do you'll fantasize
that when you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were
noble and children respected their elders."

It worked out much better than it did for the righty twaats ;D

Give it a couple of months.

He's had more than a couple of months already and, despite your wishful thinking, and the odd foot in mouth moment, he's doing alright.

We hired him to do Brexit
And he made a right mess of that. Remember his "Ready Made Deal" and all those lies?
;D

The media fuelled ones or the Labour fuelled ones ;D
It made sense to have a pro brexit PM.

We knew what we were getting, well, some of us did. We also knew that it would take around ten years to be anything like an independent, free trading nation. Some of us thought the ensuing pain might be worth it.
But, yes, most of the racist gorillas thought GB Inc would suddenly become rich, white and we would get our empire back ;D

He wasn't really, though. He just made up some words as he thought that was the best chance of becoming PM.
And lets face it, the deal he struck didn't really give Brexit, just got rid of all the benefits of being in the Union.
And history has already shown its a oppsing shambles.

Because the EU is doing so well...

.......and his vertically challenged chancellor will have to resign? Bad timing with Ukraine, but the hounds are baying.
Nope. He might be a fat oaf, but the last thing we need right now is the country more or less run by civil servants while the Tories slug it out for two or three months choosing a new leader/PM. ::)
Rishi Sunak can go, but more for the sin of putting taxes up than enjoying a glass of wine at the end of the day with the staff. :)
-
Besides, if they have been found guilty, fined and paid said fine, then surely they have served their penance. Or is that not how it works anymore ???

You say no...but the question wasn't whether you think he should resign, but whether he will have to. The opposition and, to some extent, his own back benchers may decide he has no option. Or the standards committee may dig up some ancient rule, who knows?
-

A criminal for a prime minister? Is that how it works nowadays? I wouldn't be surprised ::)
-

They haven't been found guilty - no court has been involved. They have been offered the opportunity by the police to plead guilty and accept a fixed penalty to avoid a court appearance. Any normal person would tell the police to do one, and prove their case in court. That court would decline to do so because the case is time expired (6 months). So they would get away Scott free. Trouble is, as politicians they are prepared to take the slap on the wrist over being seen to be exploiting a 'loophole' to avoid prosecution.
The offence is basically akin to being done for speeding - 35 in a 30. If that got you banned from being an MP then we'd have no MP's. The bigger problem is misleading (lying to) parliament. That's what the opposition need to concentrate on if they aim to 'win' this.
-

That depends on your position.
Any of us would pay up and grumble about it.
But we aren't the person who put the rules in place, only to be seen flouting them. This is a leadership thing, or it's supposed to be.
The same applies to the Chancellor's wife: who wouldn't use a legal loophole to save £20million? She's exactly the sort of person the loophole was created for, if only she wasn't married to the man telling everyone else to tighten their belts so he can get his hand further into their pockets.

None of which is exactly news... Currently, historically or otherwise.

Fair point Uncle STEMO. :)
Talking of news, you didn't mention the political activist media who have already reactivated their campaign to oust him.
I've had BBC R2 on in the background all evening and they've dug out all their outraged talking heads again for every hourly news bulletin. ::)
-
Sorry for the oversight ;D

Forgiven. :)

There's also the matter of misleading parliament and breaching the ministerial code that he signed up to when he took office.

Because no other politician has ever done that before... It's practically a job requirement.

Getting caught lying about a party does reveal a number of fairly major flaws though. And having to use a large chunk of your diminishing political capital as a result is extremely inept.
-
The party description is pretty ambiguous.

There were people in the garden with alcohol, cake and nibbles. Sounds like a party to me.
Presumably what's happening in Ukraine is just a couple of neighbours having a slight disagreement about whose fence got painted the wrong colour?
-
But no vodka jellies or balloons...
Ukraine is the business end of a war.
-
Have the strippers come to light yet ?

Tbh I wouldn't be surprised (or sorry) if some bereaved parent put a bullet in him. If I'd been told I wasn't permitted to go to my son/daughter's funeral but later found out that in the same breath he was off having drinkies with the staff, I'd be tempted for sure. >:(

Everyone I know would have attended the funeral and opps the consequences.
-
Except they weren't allowed to attend, I mean physically, not lawfully.

That surely can't be right. Everyone knows that the BBC is a totally unbiased organization. ;)

I had two family members , both younger than me, die during the ndemic. It was ghastly having to decide who could or could not attend.
Will he go? No
-
No need for a new Tory leader, or even an election.
I suggest he simply hand over the reins to Starmer and the gobby manc girl. :) ;)

I suggest that you rethink that idea.

My nephew won’t be voting Conservative anytime soon.
“The measure of politicians 😔 rest my wifes sweet soul as they drank their wine at work and laughed at the whole country jumping through their shitty hoops and made pointless economy crippling laws they didn't even bother to follow. I hope this John major crock sucking slime c u next Tuesday chokes 🖕”
-
I'm sure plenty feel the same way.
-
As far as I can see it none of them are any good. Has anybody got someone they would vote for PM in mind at the moment?
-
As my estimation of politicians is lower than a dachshunds gonads, i really can't think of any who are worth the time of day. :)
-
Indeed we’re fkd

Well, Boris has had his ups & downs (to say the least). Some justified, some not. The lefty media certainly have it in for him, big time.
However, I ask myself if I would want the current Labour nutters running the country.
I don't care if Boris ran naked down Downing St, snorting coke, shagging trannies en-route, while eating cake. It doesn't mean that Labour suddenly becomes a competant alternative government with sensible viable policies, and not full of far left nutters.
He may get away with it.

Certainly hope he does.

I dont. He is a disgrace and unfit to be a leader.
The one thing he has is his favour is that its hard to think of anyone in politics at the moment who is fit to be a leader.
Liz Truss fancies herself for the job, but she would be more out of her depth than he is. Sunak is a busted flush, Gove a treacherous little weirdo..........

Boris is certainly a clusterf*ucker but sadly there is very little talent in the Tory party to replace the Eton bumbler.
This is where we are. :-\

Yes the Goddess of the hideously grotesque. (On her good day)
