Title: Horn not working
Post by: warmpuppy on 19 April 2022, 13:26:24
Hi all
My horn has stopped working. It was working on one side of the steering wheel but has now failed completely. Recently I fixed the indicator switch and had to remove the steering column cover to do so. Could I have accidentally disconnected something? I did notice a small connection ...not connected on the left of the column but thought nothing of it. Any ideas??

Thanks for your help in advance.

Its possible to have disturbed something.  But I'd expect the airbag light to be on.

If its post 1998, do the steering wheel controls work?

Also, dont rule out the actual horn failing.  It left the factory with 2 under the NSF bumper, but it often goes unnoticed when 1 fails.  Also, its not uncommon for the wiring to fail by the horn, due to being slightly exposed.

that'd what happened to one of the horns on my Omega, the convoluted conduit wore through the wiring.
