Title: A Q for DIYers
Post by: TheBoy on 10 May 2022, 09:39:54
Whats the name of the pointy bit that screws on the end of a mastik/sealant/no-more-nails etc cartridge.

I need to buy a few, but don't know what to search for, and "pointy thingie" isn't really going to anywhere useful ;D

The first link is for nozzle caps so you can pretend that the half used cartridge will still be OK after hanging in the workshop for six months ;D

Any trade supplier will have extra nozzles. Boxes of cartridges usually have spares too. If you know someone who uses lots of them, they'll probably be glad to get rid of a few.

I quite often re-use nozzles if i'm swapping to a new cartridge of silicone or acrylic sealant .
I have a few spares but clean unused ones go in plastic recycling quite often .
makes up for the damage i cause to the plant by driving a V6 ,spewing out all that ZERO CO (as per MOT emissions printouts every year )  ::)
