My immediate thought upon starting to read that article was 'Oh just opps off already' :-X
If you don't want to spend three quid on a coffee, either make your own or buy a simple filter coffee... Pretty much every chain will sell you one for a quid.
And if you insist on having soy or oat milk, then you should damn well be prepared to pay for it. Bleddy entitled wanxers >:(
And breathe ;D
Next they'll be insisting that they have purchased the China mug it comes in... ::)
-
I recently bought one of those insulated travel mugs from ASDA for a quid, and a teaspoon of Nescaff Gold Blend and boiled water does me! :y
£3.30 for a coffee! I thought there was a cost of living crisis going on? ;D

A pint of beer is anything from £2 to £8, depending where you buy it. That's only cold water with some added ingredients.

We drink 'Nespresso type' in the little capsules.
Lovely coffee. Works out about 25p-30p a cup. If I buy the pods in bulk even less.
The stronger the coffee the better. :y

I'm determined to stick around just to annoy you. Been taking my pills, drinking decaf with candarel, dodging the salt, eating more fruit and less crap, exercising as usual and cut my nicotine gum from 4mg to 2.
At 11 o'clock this morning it was 153/42, so hard cheese :)
Sorry, 153/72. Nearly died of low blood pressure there ;D

I'd be devastated by you demise, as would the whole world.
Seven billion people would just have to soldier on as best they can. ::)

Well..no need to upset them, I'm not cashing out just yet. And, no, you can't have my astra when I go. :P

Unless you’re a real coffee snob, my nespresso machine (with milk frother) makes absolutely brilliant latte :y
-
Wifey likes a coffee if we're out , I'd sooner have a fruit juice or a beer never been in a Costa.

Always find that those 'pod machines' are never hot enough for me. As for Costabucks, just overpriced bilge water. :D
-
I make my own in the mug with proper milk brown sugar and doug Egberts, lovely 🏆
-
Who is Doug Egberts Rae? ;)
-
Only people from oop north could moan about paying three quid for a coffee.
They would be queuing round the block on London if they could get it that cheap. ;D

Who is Doug Egberts Rae? ;)
Douwes friend :y

I'm getting pi55ed off with Tescos in Yeovil. Haven't had Dripping since lockdown, and now they haven't had any Lard for two weeks either. I'm down to my last half a block of Lard, so after this weekend I'll struggle to make any Roast Potatoes or Yorkshire puddings. I blame BREXIT. Or BoJo. Or Corona.

More importantly, we can't get roll mop herring...

Roll mop herring is a luxury item. Lard and Dripping are basic essentials. Completely different order of magnitude in seriousness. For a while they didn't have any Anchovy fillets. Shocker
Also the only curry sauce mix they had was Phal - which I panic bought and stocked up the cupboard with (obvs once I'd already panic bought 5 years worth of bog roll). Now they haven't got the Phal anymore - just Rogan Josh, Jally, Butter Chicken, Madras etc - all the southern softie no kick stuff. Thankfully Asda are still doing the Vindaloo.
And whilst I'm on a Tesco rant, bl00dy Clubcard. I refuse to buy anything that is cheaper with a Clubcard than without. Instead, I go to Asda who 99% of the time are price matching the Clubcard price. Reckon it's costing them £50 every 2 weeks (6 bottles of Rioja).

Lard and dripping WERE essentials in 1936 in the north of England. :)

The lard will be a modern substitute for goose fat when he goes swimming in the sea.
Wet suits are better!

Not much to recommend McDongals over Burger King, but consistent pricing is one thing...
McDonalds Latte ok but can"t get a skinny version. Burger King coffee is vile... I'm sure that liquid Bear Grylls drinks when he runs out of water would taste better... not that I would try it LOL.

A proper 'northern' would eat coal mixed with rusty nails.
