Today as I was not busy , one friend bring a problem PC for re-install..
She said it hangs from time to time ..
I open the case for check in inside :o :o
Cpu cooler metal sheets was blocked completely with dust..
Cleaned the blockage..And all the dirt from inside :P
Monitored the CPU temperatures from bios ..
All ok..
Also was irq problems..I'm curious who sell this PC..
inside all sorts of PCI cards tv cards, fax-modem (this PC uses DSL >:(), internal and external sound cards >:( >:()
so cut the story short half of the PCI cards left for bin..Arranged setup
and finished installing the XP.. :)

Yup, dust acts as a blanket.
my pc was clogged too, but switched to Mac now, problem is MacMini is not that easy to take apart.

Yet another use for that compressor you bought from Aldi/Machine Mart. A good internal blasting with some air and any dusty old PC is as good as new. :y

Indeed it does, also in a moist room i.e. in the winter when the radiators are on with wet washing around and condensation amidst.. this "blanket" becomes damp and causes high resistance shorts across components. :'(
Worth vaccing all electricals from time to time :y

I cleaned my PC out a couple of days ago to fit a new case...
I was quite worried to find the "dust" smelt of the anti pesperant I use - infact most of it was a whitish powerder rather than good old dust...
