The new normal. Big variations in climate. We haven’t had any rain since Early April. The world has forgotten about climate change. Cost of living and cost of energy trump everything.

solar, wind and hydro power then if the climate extremes do become more frequent
"every cloud ...."   :D
and when the weather is not playing ball , a BIG fat dirty diesel generator can run some BIG lights to power the solar cells , a BIG water pump to power the hydro and a BIG fan to power the wind turbine  :P

This week we've had some great storms overnight. I always open the curtains and watch it ;D

A couple of nights we also had some epic rain for a hours or so.  But suspect nowhere near enough to make a difference to the water situation.

As for Climate change, its good that the beeb have something else to pedal, because that one was getting tedious.  Especially as scientists have yet to prove that global warming is manmade* but they pedal it as fact.  Much like the unproven "fact" that smoking causes lung cancer.

*we may well be on a natural upturn in global temperatures, which the world has cycled through multiple times...   ...the end of the last ice age about 10,000 years ago was not caused by prehistoric man driving his Range Rovers.  But I think we all believe that man is having some impact to speed it up.

We may well have a small impact on the climate but there is no way we are going to change it anyway. IMO.

When we can't even globally decide who owns certain countries, we stand zero chance of unilaterally stopping greenhouse gases....
