Title: Coolant leak
Post by: STEMO on 10 January 2023, 15:17:02
Smallish leak around the bottom of the radiator somewhere. Thought I might take it to the car doctor for a bit of TLC, but decided to give it a bottle of redweld medicine to see if it got better. We'll see  ;D

I've been using it since before most of the pups on here could drive. Does the trick with small leaks.

yes radweld and barrs etc work fine .especially if you only use a small amount.
i always add a half bottle when doing a flush and refil to all my cars . heaters all still work fine. ( obviously excessive amounts will settle and clog a matrix but quarter ir half bottle dont !

In that case I'm surprised that you didn't crack couple of eggs in there if you're that old skool!  ;D

No more leaky  :y

My L322 Range Rover has used a pint of coolant a month, consistently, for the 4 years I've had it. Never got better, or worse. I can't see any leak, it's so slow. Runs like a dream, never overheats.

I've just topped it up every month when it gets low. And I'll continue doing so, until the leak becomes more obvious and identifies itself  :-X
