They say (provided the motor industry Gods are with us) Mexican bodies should start to assemble the car in the week commencing 3rd April. Provisional delivery date 'should' be some time in June.
However, they also say....it is possible the build may commence before this date.
They also say....it is possible the build may commence after this date.
They have given me have a 7 digit code that allows me to connect online with something called BMW Genius..... (is this seriously a thing ::)) With this I should be able to follow her progress until she is finally completed. I should also be able to follow her journey across the ocean, even down to the the name of the ship.

I hope it's worth the wait :y
Have you still got time to change the engine to a more economical diesel?

Lets face it, its never going to have the allure or presence of the mighty Signum. :)
It'll do though.
-
Surely you're not going to get rid of the Mighty Signum? :o
What if a drug dealer makes you an offer you can't refuse? :-\ :D
-
Jokes aside though. ::) :)
Given the lead time on the delivery of your new Beemer, I wonder if you could sell it on with delivery mileage for a tidy profit? ??? :-\

It looks like it will be around 13 months in total. Not sure if that applies to all models or just the M240i coupe.
-
Did they happen to say which April :-\

Has the price gone up since you ordered it? ???

Hope it's not booked on the Townsend Thorensen's European Gateway. ;)
-
So you might just get it a week or 2 BEFORE the Lincolnshire wide "clean air zone" comes in and stops you driving it anywhere :P

Yes...£1300 for the car (which I refuse to pay)
£300 extra for delivery, and roughly £500 extra for the first year road tax now £1420 :( ( which I may have to pay unless the dealer is willing to stand the loss).....which I very much doubt.

2027. ;)

Too right. The price should be the same price as when you ordered it. It's not your fault that the lazy bastards haven't got from under their sombreros to build it! ::)

I'm not sure Mexico is a good place to make cars.
Being fast asleep most of the day surely can't lead to good productivity and quality control.... ::) ::)

There'll be two large, brown gentleman calling round your house on the evening you take delivery. They'll want to 'check under the back seats' to make sure everything is in order. ;D
