A friend hit a pothole in his Volvo something 40 and got a puncture. Garagesaid your alloy is wrecked too. He says it is all the heavy EVs wearing out the roads.   ;D

That super heavy weight EV concept is utter tosh. In reality there are plenty of SUVs and Soccermum busses that are at least as heavy ;)

Trouble is all the modern cars have rubber bands for tyres,older cars with bigger Balloon tyres never suffered all the wheel damage as the tyre absorbed it. Run flats are worst of the lot for buggering wheels

The wheel refurb place I was at recently looked very busy. They had five or six cars on stands in there and stacks of wheels everywhere.

I wouldn't fancy paying their gas bill tho!  :o
