SKY Documentaries have made a full length film about Gilles Villeneuve and Didier Proni and the story of what happened to them. Ive just watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it, although it brought back a lot of bad memories and emotions from that terrible 1982 season.
Posted a link below. Hope it still works, and SKY havent taken it down. ::)

I dont care how much they tried to balance things out in the film. Pironi was a treacherous French shit. End of.

I am guessing you arent a fan of Pironi!
I remember that season. Lot less driver aids then

None at all really, and as was tragically demonstrated by both of them, when you had a big accident in those cars they folded up like an old Tesco carrier bag.
The one disappointing thing about the film was that they didnt show anywhere near enough of Villeneuves incredible driving. What we did see was mainly a couple of big crashes, and a few of his "moments of madness."

I seem to recall Jackie Stewart having a plaque in his garden in memory of each driver who died in F1 during his time there ...1965-73.
I think there were eight.
