I fear I am not long for this world. Two days ago, I woke up with a sore throat. Yesterday, sore throat, aching, tired and lethargic.
Today, my nose is streaming like a tap and burning up, I feel like there's a concrete block on my head, my eyes are running, I've lost a lot of my appetite, and I am as grumpy as %$&^.
I made myself a hot-toddy at midday, by mixing the juice of half a lemon, a generous dollop of honey, a glug of whiskey and some boiling water.
It was lovely while it lasted and soothed my throat and nose, but I can't keep drinking them one after the other. Can I? ::)
I think I'm going to bed >:( :-[

You've been cursed by that dodgy garage owner James. ;)

Are you sure it isn't the Chinese sniffle, James? ::)

As long as its not the same bug I got after Christmas that has taken 3 blooming months to go----------
-
Of course you can keep drinking them one after the other, silly boy.

Maybe cut back on the honey a bit ;D

And the lemon.
And the water.

I had a particularly bad dose of manflu a few weeks back. Well, it was actually the chinky sniffle thing. I don't seem to remember about 10 days of my life. And even now, I struggle with energy levels.
Not sure where I got it, as I was mostly isolating due to suspected shingles, so possible I got it from quacks whilst having that diagnosed so I could have pills.

Sex will help raise your energy levels provided you don't have a heart attack and die. :)

I just use plain old brandy at the first sign of any sniffles flu etc etc, always does the trick for me , sometimes I have it just in case..😄

Well they do say prevention is better than cure :D ;D

Visited my dad last week. SIL tested positive as did I. Felt grim again for a few days. Back home now, today is first day I felt well. Read somewhere that 1 in 20 have the chinky bug at any moment. I can believe that. Same here in Spain. Ah the joys of the Chinese.
