It was leaked last week that he was likely to face arrest.
The most interesting thing to me over this so far was Nancy Pelosi,s statement about it last week.
"He is entitled to a trial, so he can try and prove his innocence".
I find that possibly the most breathtaking statement I have ever heard from someone who was until very recently, a very senior politician in the country which is supposed to be the chief defender of freedom and democracy in the world. :o

The irony of the timing won't be wasted. The charges are, pun intended, trumped up for maximum impact, but individually are nothing but piss and vinegar in the grand scheme of things. What he did isn't illegal, nor is how he did it particularly out of line. But because of who he is, the New York DA managed to structure the charges in such a way that somehow being a presidential candidate called Donald on any given day with a Y in it is grounds enough to make it a Federal charge. But creating a Federal charge and making it stick are two very different things.
The only actual outcome will be to turn Trump into a living martyr just as the next presidential election campaigns get started.
And if the Californian elites come to their senses and realise the Democrats have turned once great cities into drug riddled toilets Trump may well be the next President. Again.

I agree they are "trumped up " charges, and if anything it will increase his chances of getting elected again.
Im staggered though by Pelosi believing he needs to prove his innocence.
The basis of justice across the free world for centuries has been that someone who is accused, is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
They dont have to try and prove anything. The prosecution has to prove they are guilty.
For someone who has spent decades right at the top of U.S. politics to make that statement is mind boggling and frightening.

No and he 'only' paid $130,000 in 'Go away' money which compared to Prince Andrew's £13m of 'Go away' money is a bargain! :y
I bet he got much better value for money as well! ;D
