About five years ago I bought a Hilka cordless strimmer for about £35 from Trago Mills. Bargain thought I! :y
It was a great little tool, but didn't last long and died in the second summer after probably not much more than a couple of hours of light garden use and it got chucked at the back of my garage. I came across it the other day and put it with stuff for the next tip run, but decided to email Hilka before.
Anyway. They've just replied, they think the battery is the problem and are going to send me a new one free of charge! :y
That's great customer service! 8)

Agreed :y
slabs ,concrete, blocks etc need mowing much less than grass and weeds >:D
if you spend 1 hour a week of the growing season cutting grass ,that's a day a year 24+ hours :P

Always worth an email or phone call. :y
My Oasser tyre inflation jobbie failed with a shagged battery after about 18 months.
Amazon refunded me in full (about £47).....I then contacted Oasser who sent me a complete replacement ( battery and body) by next day delivery.
Win win. :y
Of course this approach won't work if you are a lazy bastard. :)

That's why all mowers should be petrol, no matter how small the garden. If I spend 15 mins each time I cut the grass, it's because I've been distracted.
That said, because I'd convinced my neighbour he needed a proper mower, guess who is now having to repair it ;D
